Hi. My name is Danika and I'm a User Experience web and mobile app designer living in New York City. Because I've worked in a good amount of start ups and small lean companies, I've managed to wear many hats in the design world. I love to concept and talk about new products or functionality with other team mates, go through the information architecture (creating a site map, user flows, wire frames, etc), and then using my graphic design skills to make the product all nice and shiny for production. I've worked on consumer facing products as well as business to business applications. If the product is interesting and there's a good team around it, it does't matter if I'm making a tampon iPhone app or laying out a new desktop application for a mail delivery service (and I've done them both!).
To me, it's the thinking through ideas and making them better that makes me excited about what I do everyday.

In the kitchen thinking up a meal from some farmer's market ingredients, riding my bike all over New York or at a flee market looking for cool decorations for my apartment.
